31/03/08 - Mark Sheen takes on K2
WA mountaineer Mark Sheen who last year reached the summit of Mt Everest has planned his next ascent - to K2, the worlds second highest
mountain and arguably the most difficult to climb. He plans to take the Cesen route which is more technically difficult but can be
safer than the more popular Abruzzi route. Mark will be part of a team of 10, led by experienced Dutch climber Wilco Van Rooijen.
Mainpeak will be supporting Mark on his expedition which commences in late May.
