With the Oakley Arctic Challenge now finished, all eyes are up on the upcoming TTR Burton US Open Snowboarding Event kicking off on March 15th in Stratton, Vermont USA, to see if Peetu Piiroinen can secure his unassailable TTR World Tour lead.

MARK SHEEN SUMMITS ACONCAGUA IN ARGENTINA

On February 15th, Mainpeak sponsored mountaineer, Mark Sheen, returned to base camp after summiting the 6962m (22,841 ft) Aconcagua mountain in Argentina. One of the 7 summits, Cerro Mark SheenAconcagua is the highest mountain in the America's, located in the Andes mountain range in the Argentine province of Mendoza, 15 kilometers from the international border with Chile. Pleased with the overall climb, Mark managed to complete the last stage carrying 40kg's worth of supplies, no mean feat at 5500m. Mark's climb completed when he came down from the other side, Plaza De Mulas, managing to walk out with all his climbing gear intact.
