BELS BLURB - MONTANE FLUX JACKET

With the temperature dropping quickly over the last two weeks, my latest bit of gear has proved to be a winner. The Montane Flux jacket is a synthetic filled, insulated jacket. It is warm, windproof and is also water resistant. This jacket is pretty compact and very light weight. It is the perfect jacket to take hiking or traveling simply because it does its job well and when you do not need it, it is easy to stash away.

The main advantage of going for a synthetic filled jacket over a down filled one, is that you don’t have to be as careful with it, and at the end of the day you can throw it in the washing machine. So far I have managed to cover it in fluoro paint, get it wet in the rain on numerous occasions and have it covered in various substances from my friends 9 month old. It can be thrown in the wash along with everything else, and I was surprised at how fast it dried.

Available in a women’s and men’s version. Check it out online today!

ABOUT ME

Belinda, or Bel as she is more commonly known, grew up on planes and in international airports.  Having lived in various places around the world and in Australia, it is no surprise that she is completely and utterly obsessed with travelling and lives for that next trip.  Bel has completed various hikes around New Zealand as a solo hiker including the Waikaremoana, Abel Tasman Coast, Rakiura and Milford tracks.  In 2006 she ventured to America to teach young whippersnappers at a summer camp in New Hampshire on the art of film making and how to build and launch rockets.  Apart from hiking, planning overseas travel and generally enjoying the great outdoors, Bel spends her spare time training as a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and in various forms of weapons.  In 2008 she walked the Bibbulmun Track end to end and since then spends her weekends hiking and trying out the latest gear.
