Tour update #3
5 Days till worlds!
The under 21s and open women are now in Belonia preparing to compete in the Belonia comp, while the men are in Lurichie competing there this weekend before all teams head to Milan early tuesday morning. Will be another good competition with a few more countries we haven't seen yet coming to compete, such as Iran and Russia.
Training has been going really well, all teams especially found the stay over and training in Switzerland, Interlaken, an amazing experience and made the long drive from Belgium to Bologna well worth it. It was also awesome to be able to say on Monday that we ate breakfast in Belgium, Lunch in Luxemburg, put up camp in France then ducked over to Germany for dinner and the next day wound up in Switzerland.
Things have been going really well for me, no injuries, and I have learnt so much, it is so awesome to be learning from, training with and to be a part of potentially the best women polo players in the world. I am seeing heaps of countries, and now have quite a list of places I would love to go back and visit, though Switzerland still has to be my favourite place so far. The food has been great! We got looked after so well in France, St Omer, they fed us 3 course meals for lunch and dinner! We would have spent around 5 hours of the day eating! Each meal took about 2.5 hours to get through! We had the mayor, minister of finance and minister of sport come and meet us, and we had 5 reporters, radio and news paper, come and interview the team! They payed for all our meals and accommodation while we were there and gave us free use of their polo fields and club rooms, was a real honour.
Am having troubles getting the photo's to attach so will try again on another email another day
Hope you and the rest of the crew are well,
Libby

Hi Guys
We spent the first week in Welling, London, and competed in the London international on the 14th and 15th of August. The Men and U21's didn't have the best comp, but the Women are all very happy with our
performance although we didn't get to play against any Women’s teams. It's a strong comp for the Men but unfortunately no Women’s division.
We came 9th in our division and our game results were:
Clapham A: we lost by 1
Vikings: we lost by 1
Yellow: we lost 5-1
Belgium U21 team: we won 9-2
Avon D: we won 3-2
Clapham A: we won 2-4
Because we didn't get to play against a Women’s team we organised a scratch match against the Great Britain Women’s team (the current world champions) and we drew 4-4. We are currently training in France, St Omer. They have an awesome polo set up here, and we leave tomorrow to go to Belgium, Iper to compete in the the paddle comp, which we are really looking forward to as there are 10 country's that have Women’s teams entered. So we'll get a much better feel for how we are going in comparison to the other countries. Will email through some photos next time I get a chance to get online - gotta go training,
hope you're well
cheers
