Caring for Down
Montane only use Goose Down of the highest quality.
This is 93% down (the really fluffy stuff that traps the air efficiently) and 7% feather.
The fill power is 800+ on the U.S. method.
All our down is sourced in the Ukraine and is a by-product of the food industry, this means the birds are older than some used for cheaper down, and as a result the down is more developed making it stronger and able to hold it's structure better and keep you warmer.
None of our down comes from live plucking.
