The Spot Satellite GPS Messenger is rugged enough to take with you on land, water or in the air. Keeps you safe, and keeps your friends and family updated on your adventures.

SPOT gives your a vital line of communication from just about anywhere in the world. SPOT determines your exact location by GPS, and then communicates this position by the GEOS satellite. SPOT can send pre-programmed messages and your location to nominated email addresses and mobile phones.

In a real emergency, 000 services will be dispatched to your location via local search and rescue. Spot uses satellite technology, so it even works in areas without mobile phone reception.

This new edition features an advanced GPS and GPS acquisition light, a custom button and dedicated tracking button. The improved tracking and antenna performance give you greater peace of mind. Safety covers over the S.O.S. and Help buttons, ensure you don't accidently send out emergency services. The "message sent" indicator light and illuminated buttons making using the SPOT V2 even easier, and the included armband makes it convienient to carry with you.

Track Progress
Send and save your location and allow contacts to track your progress using Google Maps™. Also known as SPOTcasting, this feature allows friends and family to follow your progress in real time using your password, or to save waypoints so you can review your entire route at a later date. SPOTcasting sends a message to your account every 10 minutes, allowing friends and family the ability to log on and track your progress in real time. By selecting the desired "Track" messages in your account log and clicking "Show On Map", your entire route can be displayed through Google Maps™. (Optional subscription to this service is required).

Check In/OK
Let contacts know where you are and that you're okay - worldwide.
Also known as SPOTchecking, this feature allows you to let your SPOTteam - the friends and family you have chosen as your contacts - know that all is well, notify them of your location, or save waypoints so you can review your route at a later date.

When you press the OK button, SPOT acquires your location from the GPS network and routes it through the SPOT satellite network. Your contacts receive either an SMS text message on their mobile phone with your message and coordinates, or an email with your message and a link to Google Maps™ showing your location.
This message can be customised.

Help/SPOT Assist
Request help from friends and family at your exact location.
In the event of a non-life threatening emergency, you can use this function to notify your SPOTteam - the friends and family you have chosen as your contacts - that you need assistance.

Once activated, SPOT acquires your location from the GPS network and routes it along with the HELP message through the SPOT satellite network every five minutes for one hour or until cancelled. Your contacts will receive an SMS text message including coordinates, or an email with a link to Google Maps™ showing your location.

SOS (worldwide)
Dispatch emergency responders to your exact location - worldwide.
Use this function In the event of a life threatening or other critical emergency to notify emergency services of your location and that you need assistance. The GEOS International Emergency Response Center alerts the appropriate agencies worldwide.

Once activated, SPOT will acquire its exact coordinates from the GPS network, and send that location along with a distress message to a GEOS International Emergency Response Center every five minutes until cancelled. The Emergency Response Center notifies the appropriate emergency responders based on your location and personal information - which may include local police, highway patrol, the Coast Guard, our country's embassy or consulate, or other emergency response or search and rescue teams - as well as notifying your emergency contact person(s) about the receipt of a distress signal.
