Suggested gear list for
Skiing & Snowboarding

A ski or snowboarding holiday can be one of the most enjoyable experiences! There is nothing like the feeling at the end of a great day on the slopes, feeling relaxed and happy with a hot chocolate or glass of mulled wine!! Keeping warm and dry during the day is a necessity to your enjoyment! We often forget the wind chill factor up on the slopes, as temperatures around 0 degrees will drop to a healthy -10 or more, in just a little breeze. And don't forget - you will create your own wind chill factor when you zoom down those slopes! Fashion can be a high priority on the slopes but having winter wear that will take the slips, slides and inevitable falls of skiing or boarding should be a big consideration! Clothing for on the Slopes

  • Thermal underwear - top and bottom, icebreaker merino wool, or synthetics
  • Ski /snowboarding socks
  • Mid Layer top for over thermals
  • Fleece or softshell jacket (Good for evening wear, too.)
  • Water proof, insulated ski/or shell jacket
  • Water proof, insulated ski pants or shell pants
  • Beanie
  • Neck warmer
  • Balaclava (optional)
  • Liner gloves
  • Ski/boarding gloves or mittens

  • Goggles
  • Helmet - highly recommended for snowboarding
  • Wrist Guards - highly recommended for snowboarding

  • Single use pocket hand/toe warmers

    Après Ski Suggestions (After Ski...!)

  • Suitable boots for walking in the snow, or on icy streets
