Skiing & Snowboarding
A ski or snowboarding holiday can be one of the most enjoyable experiences! There is nothing like the feeling at the end of a great day on the slopes, feeling relaxed and happy with a hot chocolate or glass of mulled wine!! Keeping warm and dry during the day is a necessity to your enjoyment! We often forget the wind chill factor up on the slopes, as temperatures around 0 degrees will drop to a healthy -10 or more, in just a little breeze. And don't forget - you will create your own wind chill factor when you zoom down those slopes! Fashion can be a high priority on the slopes but having winter wear that will take the slips, slides and inevitable falls of skiing or boarding should be a big consideration! Clothing for on the Slopes
Thermal underwear - top and bottom, icebreaker merino wool, or synthetics
Ski /snowboarding socks
Mid Layer top for over thermals
Fleece or softshell jacket (Good for evening wear, too.)
Water proof, insulated ski/or shell jacket
Water proof, insulated ski pants or shell pants
Beanie
Neck warmer
Balaclava (optional)
Liner gloves
Ski/boarding gloves or mittens
